To find a job you love you need to stop waiting and start doing.

That’s it, the 1 Mindset Tip.

That’s the truth that maybe you won’t admit to yourself.

I empathize. Adult life can be hard. It might punch you in the face, over and over. You seek ease, comfort, relaxation. And these are valid needs. When you then try to add the task of investing your free time to make a better future for yourself, that can seem like a luxury, not a priority.

You say to yourself “someday, maybe” you’ll get to pursuing a dream job. “Yes, I’d like to find a job I love,” you say, “but I’m content enough paying the bills with this decent job.”

Yes it’s worth feeling grateful for your job-you-don’t-love-but-still-pays-the-bills.

But maybe, maybe it’s time to wake up.

“Someday” is not a day of the week. No more waiting on the sidelines.

The truth is many people let their life just happen to them. They exist, but they don’t LIVE. To LIVE is to author your own script, to be the change you wish to see in the world, to thrive, flourish, and actualize the fullest, most joyous version of yourself.

Don’t let life happen by accident.

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

Find a Job You Love

Another uncomfortable truth: you’re going to die someday. Will you get to the grave and say, “I’m glad I played it safe”?

Or will you say, “I WENT for it! What a ride!”

Dream big, take steps each day towards the life that matters to you. Get on the playing field and join the growing number of humans who AREN’T content with their pretty-good-job.

Go find your inner fire.

Empower yourself to design a life that makes you come alive. Go start pitching companies even if you “fail.” (To fail is to LIVE). Listen to your inner curiosity. Reach out to people that are interesting. Just start creating.

Now don’t mistake my tone for any sense of “you should,” “you must,” or “you have to.” You don’t have to do anything. Live free, play, create, and don’t do stuff you hate. I’m 100% seeking to appeal to your self-interest here.

But don’t suppress the deepest part of you that wants to self-express and live with conviction. Learn to stop procrastinating. Take baby steps daily to build momentum on your job hunt. You daily action doesn’t need to be perfect. Just do.

You were designed to live a life that makes you happy.

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become.
