Take a tutorial if you must – but create a handful of "fake" employee data to test out the system.
Document the process on both sides (as an administrator and as an employee).
Put together some slides explaining what you do / don't like about it. Then go do a Linkedin search for employees who work at Gusto with the title "Recruiter" and inMail them with a short and share your pitch.
