I am currently a laboratory analyst with Occidental Chemical Corp and have previous experience as a mental health case manager. I have a unique background ranging from suicide assessment and crisis intervention to biomedical research using viper venom. I'm skilled in hands-on technical support as well as soft interpersonal skills through my lab experience and my time performing suicide assessments. I am also accustomed to the needs of a constantly operating facility and have been able to succeed in my role to keep our site running. I am always looking to move a project forward and to be a useful member of any team.
All this to say that I think I can transfer my quantitative and qualitative work to the sales world! My work experience has contributed to record-breaking years in my local facility, and I'm hoping to do the same for my future sales team. I have been trained in various settings ranging from quiet clinical labs to jails, so I am very coachable and hungry to learn from the best. I've been able to develop new solutions and strategies on the fly and I think I'll be a great fit with your team no matter the subject. Quality support lead to record-breaking production years averaging 2.4 billion pounds of vinyl chloride. • Spearheaded installation of new laboratory equipment and procedures allowing for a 150% increase in efficiency of daily testing. New testing methods have saved over $200,000 worth of process equipment in 2021 alone. • Developed and streamlined laboratory database systems allowing for easier export or data to process supervisors. Supervisors are able to view over daily 200 quality results from mobile workstations. Integration of updated software allows control operators to prevent process shutdowns saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost production. • Collaborates with non-laboratory staff on best practices for equipment and other chemical procedures of over 100 tests per week allowing for expanded testing without disrupting workflows of day and night shifts. • Completed training tasks for laboratory areas in half the allotted time, allowing a 50% increase in coverage of work areas during month-long plant outages averaging 80 man-hours per person per week. •Research and implement new testing methods to assist operations and engineering staff in plant maintenance or production. New testing methods have allowed start-up procedures to proceed 25% faster minimizing lost production revenue.
